Happy Tuesday! I want to thank you all for following my journey and baring with me while creating a complex project. I want to create an unmatched search experience for everyone. At the same time, I’m wedding planning, moving and interviewing for a job 😅 Without further I do, here’s why I’m making Telifie.
Search
If you’ve read previous issues, you’ve seen some of the differences aside from look and feel. The key difference is under the hood. Telifie standardizes content into a human readable format (JSON for the techies out there) which makes it easier to make anything understood by the AI. Even down to details like the dimensions of a Lululemon bag. General search is free to everyone forever. No ads.
Connectors and actions
Connectors import your content from services. Each connector is engineered to pull the maximum amount of data into Telifie and parse it into an article. This is then fed into the AI as part of your domain or LLM. Connectors are also engineered to process actions.
Things I’ve mentioned frequently are changing songs on Spotify, moving files in cloud drives, and replying to emails. This is all in due time but it is in progress and moving fast. The AI knows what each Connector can do through analysis of it’s properties and documentation as well as can respond to various amounts of action requests.
Democratic
Believe it or not, I have a degree in Political Science but I rarely like to get political on the internet. Everything that every tech company out there is doing, has progressed humanity to where we are now for better or for worse. I want to make Telifie for the better.
Donations
When Telifie becomes profitable and bills are paid, I intend to donate a minimum of 5% of revenues. Users get to vote each month if the fund is greater than $1000 to where it’s donated. There could be multiple some months or we may choose to designate an organization during times of need.
Additionally, we are pledging 1.5% of revenues automatically through Stripe Climate to fund carbon abatement and fight climate change 🌍.
Feedback and Service
Customer service has been at the core of every position I have ever had and I excelled in all of them. What I’ve gathered is that we need to establish a habit of humanity. Always do what is right, be proactive, and respond promptly. This will reflect in our support, services, and in the feedback we receive.
Feedback is everything. If you take time to give feedback, that shows you’re invested in us (even with no subscription 😉) and you want to help make Telifie better. Any sweeping decisions will be posed to our community before full deployment and we may even take polls.
Big Picture
The end result of Telifie is nearly AGI. A dream of remote installs that receive data from home hardware it can control and analyze. Taking into account everything from every service, app or device you’ve connected, own, or pay for. The structure of Telifie makes this easy and gives you full control over what is included. I value privacy and security above anything when building.
Next week, I should have a few connectors to work through. I haven’t forgotten about the demo vid but Telifie is bootstrapped and I’m looking for the most cost effective way with the best quality.
